NENAD DUKIĆ

Nenad Dukić is a film critic, film festival programmer and producer. He was born in Belgrade in 1947. He graduated, master’s and doctorate at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade.

Dukić is a film critic for Radio Belgrade and was a long-time correspondent for Hollywood Reporter, BBC World Service and Radio RBB from Berlin. He has published numerous reviews and theoretical articals in Yugoslav, Serbian and foreign magazines (Filmograf, Filmska kultura, Scena, Polja, Screen International).

For two terms, he was vice-president of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), artistic director of FEST and the International Film Festival in Bratislava. He gave lectures at foreign faculties (George Mason University, Washington DC, William Paterson University, New York). Now he is the vice-president of the Federation of Film Critics of Europe and the Mediterranean (FEDEORA) and a member of the European Film Academy.

He produced the film Requiem for Mrs. J. (2017, directed by Bojan Vuletić) which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival (Panorama Special) and was a Serbian candidate for an Oscar nomination, in 2015 he was a co-producer of the film The High Sun directed by Dalibor Matanić (Cannes, Un Certain Regard, Jury Award), and in 2019 co-produced the Bulgarian-Serbian film Rounds, which received two awards at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
