Vahid Jalilvand (1976) is an Iranian film director, screenwriter, actor, and film editor. His first directed film, Wednesday, May 9 (2015), has received massive admiration from multiple national and international film festivals. He received Fipersci Award fot the Best Film “Horizons” from 72nd Venice International Film Festival. Jalilvand had further success with his next film No Date, No Signature (2017). The film earned Jalilvand and his actor Orizzonti Awards of 74th Venice International Film Festival for best director and best actor.

Reveiws:

Nobody emerges unscathed - least of all the audience - from Vahid Jalilvand’s highly effective, deeply unpleasant Beyond the Wall, a morbidly violent allegory for the effects of state-sponsored trauma on the individual.
