Texas, 1892. The deserter soldier Elijah Jones seems to have kidnapped and held Rachel Price, an elegant woman of good family. Her husband hires the legendary Max Borland hunter to bring her back to Texas. At the same time, the dangerous gunman Joe Cribbens leaves prison seeking revenge against those who sent him between bars, one of which was Max.

WALTER HILL
Volter Hil (1942) je američki filmski reditelj, scenarista i producent. Bio je asistent režije u filmu Uzmi pare i beži (1969) Vudija Alena, zatim je pisao scenarija za Bekstvo (1972) Sema Pekinpoa i Čovek iz Australije (1973) Džona Hjustona. Kao reditelj se istakao filmovima: Ratnici podzemlja (1979), Jahači na duge staze (1980), Južnjačka uteha (1981), 48 sati (1982), Vatrene ulice (1984), Crveno usijanje (1988), Džeronimo (1993) i Poslednji osvetnik (1996). U jednom intervjuu, Hil je u samo jednoj rečenici opisao svoj opus: “Svaki film koji sam snimio bio je vestern”.
